Questo cd presenta l'album originale del 1956 “Chet Baker Big Band” (Pacific Jazz PJ-1229), che ha segnato una delle rare occasioni in cui Chet Baker ha guidato una big band, sebbene le formazioni che si alternano su questa registrazione vanno dai 9 agli 11 elementi. Come bonus sono state aggiunte due sessioni integrali registrate dal trombettista nello stesso periodo e quattro versioni alternative di brani tratti dall'album “Big Band”, registrate per l'etichetta Barclay a Parigi tra il 1955 e il 1956.
